This book of scenarios for 1918 has been chiefly designed with the Bloody Picnic rules in mind, although the games could be played with other rules. These battles provide variety.
While they all involve an attacker and defender, there is plenty of variation on the theme, ranging from a two battalion trench raid up to a divisional attack supported by tanks as well as terrain which includes mountains and river crossings.
Stormtrooper involves the players all taking the part of the attackers, while The Taking of Montdidier is a mini-campaign which can be played as a board game /scenario generator or just as a board game.
All the games can be played with variations in the nationalities being used. For example, The Green Fields is described using Germans attacking the British. Actually, during 1918 nearly all the nationalities had opportunities to be both attackers and defenders in the green fields. To this end, army lists for multiple nationalities are provided.
Some of these scenarios are suitable to be played solo. Included are a few tips for playing the games solo at the end of each scenario.
Some rules clarification to Bloody Picnic and some specific weapon types have also been addressed in a final chapter.
